"Lets have some parathe" whenever you have this thought in your mind and water in your mouth, one can never forget the famous paranthe (Moolchand ke paranthe) near Moolchand Hospital, delhi. I am one of the foodie who always wants to enjoy the paranthas here. Moolchand ke parathe is an eminent place where people have their breakfast, lunch or even dinner of paranthas. Good thing about such place is that its meant for all, a person of any class can come here and have his paratha. And the popularity of moolchand ke parathe has gone so high in the past that one can see a BMW parked next to a bicycle and eating the Moolchand ke parathe. This place has been referred as Moolchand Parathewallah, because it is near to the Moolchand Charitable Hospital and it has no relation with its owner name.

 

They offers a variety of parathas here which includes mixed paratha, dal paratha, egg paratha, paneer paratha and more. They serve their paranthas sprinkled with a kind of  chat powder and fried chilli on top of it. To add more into your taste and option, you can ask for rajma or raita along with the parathas and of course a glass of tea. I love the parathas here with  fried chillis they serves, its not actually a pickle but a spicy delight to have them together.

                                                     

Being a Chai ka deewana (Tea Lover), I never miss a chance of sipping a cup of tea whenever it is about parathas or pakoras and believe me you will not regret of having a tea out there. Eating hot parathas, holding a masala (Spicy) chilli on one hand or a cup of tea, you looks like in a mess. No matter how hot it is around and sweaty you are, one cannot stop eating these parathas, I would never suggest anyone NOT to try the raita and rajma there. I am a die hard supporter of rajmas (Kidney Beans) and wouldn't mind having it with parathas. But, you can pair it with either raita, tea or Rajma.

Moolchand ke Parathe is a cheap affair of some delightful tasty paranthas. A paratha will cost you Rs.30/- raita is for Rs.20/- and tea is for 8/- Parathas are available all day till 10pm @night. Just park your car on the road side and someone will come and take your order, so families can also visit this place, stay in the car and enjoy the delicacies of the moolchand ke parathes. You might come across a situation when not getting the space to park your car, but still waiting for a place or parking your car little far is worth it. Its located near Vikram Hotel and opposite to Moolchand Metro Station. So, just grab a metro to reach this place and take the metro back to your place. If you are thinking that its far away from your home and don't like to visit just for sake of parathas, then please give a thought again, as you have plenty of options around. You can visit the famous Central Market of Lajpat Nagar, Ansal Plaza, Kalkaji Temple, Lotus Temple and NFC (New Friends Colony).
