Yeti, an ape like man/snowman found in Himalayan region of Tibet and Nepal, unusual with the name but offers some great delicacies of Tibet and Nepal. A small restaurant at the end of the Hauz khaas village lane and beside the Hauz-e-elahi park, is certainly a place to visit and enjoy north eastern food. Not much places around offers Nepali cuisine which doubles the reason to make a visit out there. Second visit to Hauz khaas village, has now become one of my favorite food zone. Sharing my experience in Yeti would start with its interiors first. Not so big, stylish and fancy, just giving you a feel of a resto bar in a beautiful small town located somewhere in Nepal or Tibet.

Coming over to food, not familiar with most of the cuisine which were there in the menu. I ended ordering Non-Veg WaiWai Sadeko, Chicken dry fry with peanut and pepper,  Crispy pork with Honey, Ice Tea Lemon and Cold coffee.
Noodles were not the regular one, rather it was crispy sprinkled with onion, small chicken pieces and coriander and accompanied by a small bunch of grated salted salad. Along with with we had Pork coated in a red thick gravy mixed up with honey and definitely created with a fine taste of sweet and bit spicy. Pork pieces were properly cooked and crunchy making it a good choice dish. But to add more to spice we thought of trying something spicy and ask for Chicken dry with peanuts and pepper. Nicely flavored, the taste as expected and completes our food journey with Yeti.

I would admit a nice experience at Yeti, not an over rated place but certainly can be experienced with friends and family and enjoy North East Indian delicacies.

Eden Kitchen & Bar offers Chinese, North Indian, Lebanese, Mediterranean cuisines. This restaurant is in Shoprix Mall, Noida Sec 61.  It could be be one of the decent options to have dinner or lunch with family and friends if you are in/around NOIDA. Lately, I had a chance to visit Eden Kitchen and Bar for dinner with my wife on our marriage annivesary.

Eden Kithcen and Bar Interiors

Both of us were craving to have Chicken Chettinad (a South Indian delicacy) and we decided to to go that same place where we had it first. We went to Shopprix Mall (Noida Sec 61) but didn't find the same restaurant. Eden is a new restaurant here which is comparatively more spacious (two floors) than the previous restaurant we visited. As the first floor was packed, we were offered a table on the other floor. I would say that they have done a pretty good job with the interiors, not able to recall anything which left us amazed, but still can be considered as well-thought-of interior design.

Eden Kithcen and Bar Tomato Garlic Fish and Chicken Cheddinad

After making ourselves comfortable, we started looking at the Menu Card and were struggling to find something different and tempting, we decided to try something Lebanese but later been informed that it is not available. Finally, we settled for Tomato Garlic Fish, which was good in quantity and tasted just like a typical sweet and sour Chinese dish with a pinch of garlic and coriander on it. We found it satisfactory enough, possibly because we were simply famished. Fortunately, we got to have Chicken Chettinad and indeed accomplished our plan. Chicken Chettinad was definitely not that fine like we had in past, but still was good enough to try it with Plain Rice.

Service was very ordinary and not something that was commendable. Rather, I did not like that restaurant was not busy at all, but waiters were not prompt and fast in attending tables. A professional and welcoming restaurants' staff should be friendly (that Eden's staff was) and attentive (that they were not). They were pretty chilled out even after finding their customers looking around for someone to take order.

I would recommend this restaurant only because of the quality of food which wasn't extra-ordinary but it was flavorsome and we liked the taste, nothing that made our taste-buds feel bad.

In short, we had the fOOd that slightly changed our mOOd.

The Yellow Chilli, a family restaurant, Sanjeev Kapoors Khazana is located at Pacific Mall, Ghaziabad. If you are a first time visitor of the mall, and are aware of Yellow Chilli because it is a restaurant opened by great chef Sanjeev Kapoor then you will be bound to visit it. I did the same and below is my experience with the restaurant -

I didn't have a good time in Yellow Chilli Restaurant. With the name associated with this resto bar, I am really disappointed with every aspects of this place. If talk about its interior, ambiance, services and most importantly the food. The Menu offers alot and that too with some never heard before, unique and unusual dish names like Shabnam Ke Moti, Amritsary Machli, Lawrence road tandoori murgh, Puran Singh Da Tari Waala Murgh and more. But, unfortunately, the taste  isn't unique and different. The food was similar to what we can experience at any take away food point or some local restaurants near your home. There is nothing special about this place to talk about.

Now, talking about the food, we started with the Peppery Kasoori Fish Tikka (395/-), Murgh Angar Bedgi (285/-), Head Banger - a mocktail (125/-). Both dishes have 6 medium size cubical pieces of fish/chicken tasting like anyone can cook at home, simply roasted in a microwave with no fuss or minimum efforts served along with 3 or 4 rings of onion and green curd-corriander chutney. Head Banger tasted like a syrup while the ingredients had banana, mango juice and milk in it. This was my wife's choice as she wanted some milk in her mocktail. Both of us didn't like that overpowering, strong flavour of a "certain" syrup.

With almost disappointed with the starters and had almost lost the trust over their chef, we made a move and planned to had dinner - something extra spicy and tasty. I ended up ordering Murgh Mirch Khadai (INR 365), Lasooni Naan (INR 60/-), Pudina Parantha (50/-) in the main course.  Chicken dish was not spicy at all rather it was more salty and tasted like kadhai chicken. Pudina paratha was very thick and non crispy, Lasooni naan was ok.  It was very disappointing dinning experience at Yellow Chilli and desperately wanted to finish ASAP. Service was average, most of the servers seemed confused of what they are doing and what they have to do. I certainly cannot not prefer it to anyone to go and try. I didn't find any dish special to be captured, but still took some for your reference.

Thai Red Curry with Rice
Thai Red Curry
Keya-Kainoosh is from the Master Chef Marut Sikka and according to them "The first Indian restaurant that brings about a confluence between traditional India and Modern India". I actually wanted to visit Smoked House Deli, but I had to wait for 15-20 mins to get a table inside. So, we decided to look around for some other restaurants and this when came across to Keya-Kainoosh. We were greeted by a charming maitre de from the front desk, who assisted us with finding a suitable table inside. The ambiance and interiors are seriously something to talk about. The interiors are stunning with flower patterns on the wall and a dark reflected ceiling. An illuminated triangle shaped bar is set up in the middle and with seating section on both the sides. Another thing to like about is the comfortable high rise bar stools/chairs instead of very common cushioned chairs or sofas. With music loudly playing on the western beats, this restaurant is a visual delight and instantly it changes my mood even without eating the food. They have a pretty big outdoor section as well, where you can enjoy the flavored Hookahs ;) but I preferred to sit inside because of the hot and humid weather that day. Unfortunately, nothing to show you in terms of the restaurant's interiors, because I came to know that taking pictures are not allowed inside the restaurant.

Cosmopolitan, a cocktail

As soon we got settled, we were attended by the staff member in a real quick time with menus and a welcoming smile on his face. I found North Indian, Lebanese, Thai dishes amongst the cuisines they offer. The Cocktail part is divided into Classic and Signature, offering some new and interesting cocktails like Aam pannas, Santri, India Pink, Bubblicious Daiquiri and some more in the later part. There is something more for the Wine lovers, as you can get a bottle of wine or even a glass of it from their impressive wide variety of wine collection, not sure if it happens in most of other restaurants. I eventually, opted to sip Cosmopolitan (Rs. 425) and to accompany it a Cold Coffee with Ice Cream for the lady (Rs.140), Chilly Fish (Rs. 345) and Thai Red Curry with Chicken, steamed rice, spicy salsa & wok tossed vegetables (Rs.525).

Now lets talk about the food, one word to describe the cocktail i.e "Nice". But the Chilly Fish is really the best one I ever had in the recent past. It was very soft yet crispy, ultra fresh, spicy, sweet and sour, exactly the flavor which my wife wanted to have. Thai Red Curry is again good in terms of the authentic Thai flavor, but still somehow didn't find it that amazing enough to hit our taste buds or might be a bad choice or selection for that time. Cold coffee was also good. We thoroughly enjoyed our food over there and would definitely like to try some other delicacies, Pizzas and Hookah in our next visit. Nevertheless, I do feel that one can surely enjoy the tasty and delightful food out here. They'd really score good in terms of food and the service. Their service is super awesome as they bring you the food in max 7-8 minutes. And at last not to forget the enormous efforts they have put towards the decor.

Hard Rock Cafe, DLF Mall Saket, New Delhi

Hard Rock Cafe a famous chain of theme restaurants founded in 1971 by Americans. This is the second time I visited Hard Rock Cafe. My earlier visit was just to go and meet some friends and then back to some other place for dinner. I was impressed with the space and ambiance at that time and wanted to visit this place sooner. It happened this Sunday, because my wife had some work in saket and there i decided to check out Hard Rock Cafe for fOOD aur mOOD.

I have read somewhere that hard rock cafe is famous for their burgers and sandwiches. So, it was pre-decided for me to try out the burger and i did order the Legendry 10 OZ Chicken burger (Rs.435/-) along with a special Cocktail as per the staff GG Screwdriver (Rs.500/-). My Wife decided to try Cobb Salad with chicken and bacon (Rs 265/-) and Berrilicious (Rs. 210/-) a mocktail.

Now coming to the taste straight away , i didn't like the chicken burger, It has a thick layer of chicken and some half cooked vegetable in it, served with mayonnaise and french fries. The presentation was just OK, nothing else. My GG screwdriver was another stuff which disappointed me, it was only a Orange juice and soda mixed in it...thats it! My wife was also not much impressed with the Cobb salad too. Though berrilicious was a nice drink as per her. We both ended up with a bit of disappointment in terms of food. It might because of the American taste or whatever, but it seriously didn't hit our taste buds. They might have something else to rock which they are famous for and i would like to go hard rock cafe again to try that!!

If we talk about their ambiance and interiors, you would come up saying "wonderfull". I like the ambiance personally and managed to capture some of the places you would like in hard rock cafe.
