IPL this season is on the heat and more fun watching it along with chilled beer and drinks on the Rocks, what more you can ask for such a splendid day at the end. During my food hunting at Zaffran the last weekend, I came to know that they have got some nice offers for this IPL Season at their Bar & lounge named Shanghai. They are running a special offer for the cricket lovers which says Beat the Heat of IPL 7 Eat, Drink, Live cricket.

All above packages are served with 2 Veg / 2 Non-veg Snacks.

Shanghai is not so big in terms of space but still a nice decent lounge to spend some quality time besides your companion and glass filled with your favorite booze. It is a good deal of going out for drinks and availing such offers. I am planning to go there for the IPL Finals. I didn't get the chance to try the food here at Shanghai, so no reviews for food, but still thought to post it for people planning to enjoy the thrill of IPL and drinks together. Posting some pictures of Shanghai below:

1. Try to be polite and courteous while interacting with your bar tender can make your bar experience better. Avoid using words like "hey", "give me" and "let me get" rather using these words like "Could I please have?" or "I think I'll try"are nice. I would prefer to call my bartender with his/her name saying "Mike, Please..". Waving the glass in his/her face or shouting for drink is not cool at all and tends to avoid that. A friendly talk would make the friendly surroundings friendlier.

 
2. Many customer like to try the specialty drink of the bar, If you really enjoy a drink, ask the bartender what's in it so that you can request it from another place. Having said that, do not over complain about a drink if it is not good and bartender is surely not the right person to complain to. You’re right guy is the manager. 




3. Tipping your bartender is nice, but you need to keep it justified. I understand the idea of tipping Rs50 or 100 per drink, but if you do the same when you're ordering a round of cocktails and mixed drinks for your group of friends, you can expect to be served last. Having said that, keep the tip reasonable or not tip at all.


4. Avoid messing with furniture out there, like rearranging them and throwing coats and bags over the bar. Maintain decorum around you. If you need any help related to your belongings just asked the bartender first and before you get sloshed-off. Once you are drunk and so are your friends, it’s the bartender who might help you.




5. Don't take your bartender as uneducated or dumb, they are holding some degree and might doing this to earn extra money. Avoid hitting on your bartender because that won't help you in getting free drinks or some discount. It might put the bartender in a position to refuse you for a drink or complain to bar authorities.



I would like to conclude that we need to remember that if we are civilized we have to show the civilized behavior with everybody around not only in meeting rooms.

 Hard Rock Cafe, DLF Mall Saket, New Delhi

Hard Rock Cafe a famous chain of theme restaurants founded in 1971 by Americans. This is the second time I visited Hard Rock Cafe. My earlier visit was just to go and meet some friends and then back to some other place for dinner. I was impressed with the space and ambiance at that time and wanted to visit this place sooner. It happened this Sunday, because my wife had some work in saket and there i decided to check out Hard Rock Cafe for fOOD aur mOOD.

                                                                        I have read somewhere that hard rock cafe is famous for their burgers and sandwiches. So, it was pre-decided for me to try out the burger and i did order the Legendry 10 OZ Chicken burger (Rs.435/-) along with a special Cocktail as per the staff GG Screwdriver (Rs.500/-). My Wife decided to try Cobb Salad with chicken and bacon (Rs 265/-) and Berrilicious (Rs. 210/-) a mocktail.

Now coming to the taste straight away , i didn't like the chicken burger, It has a thick layer of chicken and some half cooked vegetable in it, served with mayonnaise and french fries. The presentation was just OK, nothing else. My GG screwdriver was another stuff which disappointed me, it was only a Orange juice and soda mixed in it...thats it! My wife was also not much impressed with the Cobb salad too. Though berrilicious was a nice drink as per her. We both ended up with a bit of disappointment in terms of food. It might because of the American taste or whatever, but it seriously didn't hit our taste buds. They might have something else to rock which they are famous for and i would like to go hard rock cafe again to try that!!

If we talk about their ambiance and interiors, you would come up saying "wonderfull". I like the ambiance personally and managed to capture some of the places you would like in hard rock cafe.

Now, time to rate Hard Rock Cafe New Delhi!!

Brittos, Baga Beach, Goa @2013 

Brittos a famous name when you talk about the good restaurants near Baga Beach, Goa. I heard about this place 2 years back during my first visit to Goa, but unfortunately was not able to make it then. This time i had it in my mind to visit brittos once, and it happened this time. I am back to delhi carrying lots of bad and good memories along with me and Brittos comes in the later part.

                                                                 It was my last day in Goa and we were out to have our first meal of the day. Following my suggestion to brittos, we all decided to have food out there. Soon i enetered this place i got a smile on my face..don;t know why but it was a feel good factor the moment you entered Brittos. You can see the Bar on your left when you enter Brittos and start your day having your energy drink. The next thing you will notice is the Home Made Dessert starting from blueberry, chocolate walnut, lemon pie to tiramisu and much more.

Brittos is comparitevely big then other Shacks/Restuarants on the beach side. They have pretty good sitting space. The Interiors are really attractive and you would like noticing every small thing that comes in your way. They have a small outfits shop and a tattoo studio as well, which certainly add more to your excitement. The other section is towards the beach, you can easily have some spendind views from that part. We opted to sit on that section simply because of  beach view.

 

Brittos has good number of staff and one of them straight away will come and stand near your table. One thing amused me was the Menu. It doesn't have most of the dishes mentioned in it though you can check that from the waiter and order it. But still looks very strange and cannot be expected in a restaurant like Brittos. Good thing was that we still got what we asked irrespective of the Menu.

                                                           Now talking about the service and food from here, it was simply fabulous and impressive. We started getting the food we ordered in no time or rather say very quickly ;) Every dish we had was well served and amazingly cooked. I personally loved and enjoyed whatever i ordered and i can bet that it would be same for rest of their dishes. Food quality and taste are of well standard..hats off to brittos for mainting the standard as per its name and fame. I missed another meeting with Brittos as i had to check out for other Restaurants also, but i simply regret of not able to visit this place again for dinner. But next time, i will go to Brittos for sure!
